The Association of Reflexologists gives support and information to its members detailing seminars, news and research, whilst also promoting Reflexology and giving information to the public also enabling you to find a therapist in your area. They produce a quarterly journal called  'Reflexions' for their members. Visit their site at: www.aor.org

The chair that all clients love and is one that I always get asked about at shows is called the Relaxator 365 and doesn't cause the problem of  'numb bum' so much as a couch. It has done me proud and is a must for all those who need a decent chair for practice or who fancy truly lying back and relaxing. You can contact the company by emailing them at relaxator@patterson.co.uk. The company is known as Patterson Products and don't be put off by the golfing products, the chair is there somewhere!!

Authors Barbara and Kevin Kunz have their own website, giving information and up to date research on Reflexology at: www.reflexology-research.com

For research results showing  the effectiveness of Reflexology as a therapy (one of the most comprehensive listings that I've found), visit: www.pacificreflexology.com

If needing a therapist of another discipline, try these sites who will be able to help you further: www.HealthyPages.co.uk - www.therapy-world.co.uk - www.uktherapists.com

Background music is of  importance when treating a client, or even just for your own chilling out time: I recommend that you visit the site of Richard Churchyard which has just that. You can listen, buy, and contact him at: listen.to/richardchurchyard or you can link to Nigel Shaw and Carolyn Hillyer at www.seventhwavemusic.co.uk who also produce some very lovely music. A good online music outlet is www.bluewatermusic.co.uk

Jason Light has produced a meditation CD which takes you off into the great beyond. He teaches meditation and relaxation techniques, whilst also practising reiki. Find out more and visit his website at www.j1light.com

A personal hero of mine, knowing the importance of the mind and body in wholeness and healing from a medical perspective is Patch Adams. Find out more about his work and projects at www.gesundheit.com
