I qualified as a Reflexologist in December 1997, so have been practising for five years. In that time I have seen lots of feet; all of them different, with the attached person having a differing set of problems to the next. I never grow tired of my job, I enjoy the interaction with people and helping them gain focus and improve their health and being.

My path towards Reflexology was a strange one. I finished school, went to University to study, only realising when I'd finished that I didn't really have any particular direction in mind. Falling into employment, I puzzled for awhile, until I pushed myself too far and my body reacted to the stress it was being put under. From that point I searched a bit harder for my true direction, whilst working on some past emotional traumas which had affected me deeply.

Looking inward, I began to see more and more things piecing together as if in a puzzle. I began to look towards complementary medicine for help and inspiration, tiny coincidences and events guiding me along. About six months from the start of my exploration, I felt the need to "find my feet" and look for a pathway into a complementary therapy which I could practice. I'd several in mind, but none seemed to 'happen'. Then, looking into Reflexology courses, it began to fall together. I found a Reflexology school, was accepted, and within a hour had a phone call from someone offering me a part-time job which would help me fund the course.

After completing the course, I decided to practice from home in Suffolk, also visiting people in their homes. I have demonstrated at several local and national 'Natural Health Fairs'. In the past five years, I have seen alot of clients, all of them enriching my practice in their own special way. I have attended workshops looking at various aspects of Reflexology practice and of the conditions that may be treated. The most enjoyable and fulfilling seminar was based on Maternity Reflexology by Susanne Enzer. Little nuances of practice reveal themselves from time to time, giving greater understanding of this amazing and breath-taking therapy.  I feel very happy practising Reflexology, having an opportunity to help and support others using this medium. I feel I have found my direction in life and am thankful that I am able to help others find their own true direction, improving health and well-being in the meantime.
